When EJ and I first visited Seoul together in 2017, we did a workshop at ManoLabs where we made our own passport holders. We both LOVE workshops, and it ended up being one of our favorite things we did. So when we came back to Seoul with Chloe for the first time in 2024, we knew we had to go back and make her a matching one too.

We did something similar with our Love Lock at Seoul Tower. We put our first lock up there in 2017, found it again when we returned in 2022 (looking very rough 😂), and when we came back with Chloe in 2024, we brought a new engraved lock with all three of our names. Unfortunately, the section with our original lock had fallen, so we had to put the new one somewhere else.

Then in 2025, we went back again with a tiny engraved lock with just the year on it and attached it to our 2024 family lock.

I love that these are things EJ and I started when it was just the two of us, and now we get to come back with Chloe and keep adding to them. It makes returning to Seoul feel a little more special every time.

I’m just hoping that someday, when Chloe is old enough to come back with her own family, our Love Lock will somehow still be there. And that they built this gate strong enough to last that long. 😂
